In yet another path breaking judgement by Central Administrative Tribunal, in short CAT Chandigarh, seniority benefits has been granted to applicant from date of joining.
Timeline
14 April 2007- Advertisement of GI ( Group Instructor) in Industrial Training Institute for Women , Sector 11 Chandigarh. Naval Verma got selected one Kanta Katoch who was already working with institute challenged the appointment and got stay. The appointment of Naval got on hold.
16 September 2009- Central Administrative Tribunal dismisses the Kanta Katoch ‘s case.
2010- Applicant Suman joined.
2012- Applicant Anuka joined.
2 Feb 2013- Naval Verma got appointment and joined on 2nd April 2013 as GI , group Instructor.
Now, Naval Verma challenged seniority granted to his juniors on account of prolonged litigation before the authorities. Competent authority refused.
Naval Verma challenged it before CAT, Chandigarh who now has granted benefit of seniority to him retrospectively.
Court in his order, founded applicant Naval to be entitled from his date of selection which is 16 September, 2009.
